1. Myanmar snub-nosed monkey

 

 This rarest monkey species discovered in 2010 and found in Kachin state in Myanmar. Later, this monkey is also seen in Southern China, close to the border with Myanmar. 

Facts:-

  • The Myanmar snub-nosed monkey has almost entirely black fur with white only on its ear tufts, chin beard, and perineal area.

  • It also has a relatively long tail, almost one-and-a-half times the length of its body.

  •  In Summer months, they are spent at higher altitudes and in winter they descend closer to villages.

  • Local people claim that these monkeys are easy to find in the rain, because they often get rainwater in their upturned noses, causing them to sneeze. 

 

2. Honduran white bats


In 1892, American zoologist Harrison Allen discovered the new species of bat near the Coco River in Honduras which lives in a tent of Heliconia leaves. Founded only Southern and Central America. 

Facts:-

  • The Honduras white bats are known for its white fur, unique among all bats.

  • His weight is just 5 gm.

  • Honduras bats can grow only up to 1.56 inches(4.7 cm) in length.

 3. Venezuelan Poodle Moth

In 2009, this weird insect was discovered in the Gran Sabana region of Venezuela by Dr.Arther Anker. The astonishing Venezuelan Poodle Moth currently still remains an almost complete mystery to entomologists. It's unfortunate that scientists trekking through the park in Venezuela have been unable to spot it again, but the creature doesn't appear to be a hoax.

Facts:-

  •  They can grow about 2.5 cm in length.                                  

  • It is also most likely extremely rare.                                    

  • The look is so bizarre and slightly terrifying at some time. 

 

5. Blue-footed boody

   

  In 1882, this blue-footed bird was found by French naturalist Alphonse Milne-Edwards. They are native of Central and South America and can be found all along the Pacific coast, stretching from Southern California down to Peru.

Facts:-                 

  •  The blue-footed boobies are far better at swimming and flying than walking.
  • The blue color of the booby's feet is the result of carotenoid pigments obtained from its fish diet.
  • The blue pigmentation is, therefore, a reliable indication of the bird's overall health, level of nourishment and measurement of the immune system.
  • The blue pigment at the foot also helps in attracting the opposite sex birds for the mate.
  • Their eggs are also blue in color.

 5. Emperor Tamarin


Emperor Tamarin is the world's weirdest monkey in the world. This peculiar monkey is named after its mustaches, which are similar in shape and size with mustaches of the late German emperor Wilhelm II. They are often found in the forests of Southern America, Peru, Brazil, and Bolivia and are very common throughout their range.

 

Facts:-

  • Their tail is longer than their body acts as a fifth hand by gripping branches.
  • Emperor Tamarin communicates via hissing sound, thrills, and chirping calls.
  • Young emperor tamarin starts to eat solid at the age of  4 to 7 weeks.
  • Emperor Tamarin reaches sexual maturity at the age of 2 years.
